This summer OpenAI's agents broke into Hugging Face and Anthropic's Claude broke into four companies, all during tests nobody was watching closely enough. Weeks later both labs are asking Washington for binding rules. Convenient? Absolutely. Necessary? Also, annoyingly, yes.
